Cire de Sacub starts music as a total self-taught artist. Then, he performs as lead singer in Toulouse alternative and metal bands ; he scours bars and more or less squalid stages of Toulouse for a few years. Feeling limited by an energetic but wild vocal technique, he starts taking singing lessons. His voice, although hardened by an intense and clumsy artistic practice, gets its way amazingly quickly through a lyrical and academic technique. Time comes for opera singing, international competitions and learning music theory. As he gets more ambitious, he works with different teachers in order to keep extending his technical and musical limits. Coming from a baritone background, he moves to a dramatic tenor repertoire.

De Rerum Natura is an album created jointly by Yvalain and myself. He had already worked with me on my first two albums Cire & Co published on Jamendo: Opus #1 and Opus # 2. After this practise run, we finally met (we both live in the same area) and decided to create a baroque oratorio. Indeed Yvalain had baroque/renaissance compositions, part of which was published on Jamendo at Christmas 2007: Baroque Mood, an album that still meet a lot of success but that he considered unfinished, especially in terms of sound. Myself I dreamed of creating a work in Baroque style. We were therefore made to meat around this exciting project that required six months of work together. Yvalain took on the music, using his existing baroque compositions and creating new parts along the way, myself creating and interpreting all vocals: choirs, children’s voices, bass, tenor, baritone and countertenor).
